KPFF seeks a Director of Talent Acquisition to represent KPFF and source candidates nationally to fit with needs of over 20 business units. We hope to source 15 specialty hires each year to satisfy the goals of a growing Structural and Civil Engineering firm.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5 years’ experience in a corporate or agency recruiting role
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Up to 20% Travel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction, HR, or Psychology strongly preferred
  • AEC Industry experience preferred


  • Proven ability to manage competing demands and multiple managers
  • Strong time management skills
  • Proven ability to work independently to achieve business objectives
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Highly skilled in applicant tracking software, Taleo preferred
  • Highly skilled in applicant screening and interviewing


  • Represent KPFF, Inc. throughout the recruiting life cycle to pursue key hires.
  • Nationally recruit candidates to fit with needs of over 20 business units and specialty positions.
  • Develop a talent pool to fulfill the strategic plans of individual business units.
  • Flexibility to work across multiple time zones for candidate availability.
  • Flexibility to work within different time zones and business hours of the business units. Most offices are in the Pacific Time zone, all are within continental US.
  • This position may be performed remotely for the right candidate.
  • Travel to business units to partner with leaders and hiring managers up to 20% of the time.
  • Assess potential candidates and align them to business units where skills best fit.
  • Make recommendations for next steps and processes for business units to follow to ensure a positive interview experience regardless of outcome. This may involve research and presentation of relevant facts to decision makers.
  • This role works within a team including our CEO and other Human Resources leaders to develop strategies to meet workforce planning and business goals.


  • Manage the recruiting lifecycle including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and closing candidates.
  • Consult with hiring managers and business unit leaders on the acquisition process market trends and candidate pipeline development.
  • Establish talent pipelines through relationship building with potential candidates for immediate and long-term hiring needs.
  • Ensure system and process compliance for all requisitions and geographic locations.
  • Drive talent acquisition initiatives including initiating meetings with stakeholders, proactively sourcing talent, develop tools to assist business units improve effectiveness with talent acquisition including training.
  • Potential to expand talent acquisition group in the future.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Duties are performed in a normal office environment while sitting at a desk or computer table.
  • Duties require the ability to perform work at a computer for several hours, communicate over the telephone, and read printed material.
