    Background

Sara Roberts joined KPFF in 1995, and become a principal with the Seattle office in 2012. Early in her career, she realized her passion is bringing clients’ goals to life.  Whether it is delivering a transit or parking garage facility directly for the owner as the prime consultant or structural engineer, designing the latest structural tenant improvement at an airport, or delivering an Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) hospital expansion for an owner and contractor, Sara is passionate about shaping the built environment we live in.

    Project Experience

Within the firm, Sara is dedicated to fostering and mentoring junior staff, and is part of a company-wide boot camp that educates the wider company on the core values of KPFF. Notable projects she has managed include: Port of Seattle Consolidated Rental Car Facility (LEED Silver); Issaquah Transit Center and Parking Garage; and residential project the Ballard Landmark. Many other projects were notable and impactful on her career such as: the U.S. GSA’s Oroville-Osoyoos Joint Port of Entry project where almost every element of the structure was exposed to the patrons, the UHS Fairfax Hospital Expansion where the owner, builder, and designers entered into a true IPD multi-party agreement, and Sound Transits’ Structured Parking Program, where Sara learned at the right hand of the agencies project managers exactly what it takes for a successful project delivery.
