Meet John’s Team

Background

John Gavan serves as our Executive Chair, having transitioned from our President/CEO after 14 years in the role. He now blends project responsibilities and commitments along with overall firm leadership activities. He has been with KPFF since beginning as an intern in 1988. He has been instrumental in finding new and better ways to deliver projects and in improving the functions of teams. His wide base of knowledge of project and building types lends to creative solutions. He is recognized by clients and team members as a collaborative team player that adds value by bringing an overall understanding of the design and construction process that goes beyond the structural engineering discipline. John is passionate about helping others along their life journeys. As Executive Chair, his focus is on education, emerging opportunities, and external relations.
