KPFF provided civil engineering for a 16,000 SF multicultural center which showcases the University’s diversity programs. The cultural center has a performance space, gallery, meditation pavilion and “knowledge rooms” for learning about the state’s largest underrepresented populations. It was designed to provide a central home for a broad range of services and organizations for multicultural students and a diversity hub for the entire student body. As a showcase for sustainability, the stormwater design highlights biofiltration planters for parking lot runoff treatment.
