KPFF is providing structural and civil engineering for a 100,000 SF building on the University of Washington’s main campus. It creates a student HUB for the Health Science schools that will include a mixture of classrooms and learning labs. The structure is a hybrid system of steel, concrete, and cross-laminated timber (CLT). This project was awarded two research grants from the US Forest Service for Cross-Laminated Timber (CLT). It is being used to validate the new CLT Floor Vibration Design Guide that is co-authored by KPFF.
