KPFF provided structural engineering services associated with the construction of a new OSHPD-3 facility located on the Riverside University Health System campus in Moreno Valley, California. The project consisted of a new three-story, 200,000-square foot OSHPD-3 main building adjacent to the existing hospital as well as a 10,000 square foot restaurant/retail building.  The main building included various support services for the existing hospital, including an ambulatory care center, an imaging department including MRI, X-ray, and CT-scan units, and new surgical suites. The building was connected to the hospital by a 190-foot long conditioned pedestrian bridge that was structurally connected to the new building and seismically separate from the hospital.
