Community Transit Kasch Park Bus Maintenance Base Improvements

KPFF provided planning and design services for the expansion and upgrade of the Kasch Park Bus Maintenance Base for Community Transit in Everett, WA. The work included the addition of a new bus wash facility, chassis wash bay, additional bus staging lanes, and modifications to site circulation. The work was designed to maintain the base operations throughout construction, which was achieved in construction. Work included extensive pavement replacement, new utility services to the wash facilities and relocation of existing water, sewer, and power systems. Staging area additions required water main relocation, paving, drainage, and channelization modifications. KPFF monitored the scope of site improvements to ensure the existing storm detention facilities on-site could be maintained and that site-wide drainage improvements would not be required.
