Boeing Engine Build-Up Relocation

Building on the knowledge the team gained from working with the Engine Build-Up group in 2014 when it was previously moved to Renton, KPFF acted as the prime consultant and overall project manager for structural evaluation and design of their new location in Kent.

The $3.5M restoration of this existing factory building included structure steel, concrete floor restoration, trench infills, machine/equipment foundation, tooling, lighting upgrade, electrical upgrades, mechanical upgrades, and epoxy floor coatings.

Collaborating closely with the entire team effort allowed us to complete construction within 16-weeks from award, ahead of the client’s schedule and $200k under bid.
