Josh Lighthipe is an Associate and Project Manager at KPFF’s Portland Civil Engineering + Survey office. He is building a notable career in sustainable design with a unique ability to combine aesthetics, environmental considerations and project vision into his work. Josh has been an integral part of KPFF's leadership in sustainable stormwater design and he enjoys tackling challenging projects and developing innovative design solutions. From his involvement in Portland’s first integrated green street neighborhood, New Columbia, to his civil project management of Bud Clark Commons, the world’s first LEED-NC Platinum public housing project, Josh has been at the leading edge of low impact design since the early days of his career. In his off hours, Josh helps create a proving ground for low impact development techniques. Grant funded and volunteer built, Tabor Commons fully infiltrates stormwater from its site and from public right-of-way. Many of Josh’s projects incorporate rain-activated art and other methods that weave stormwater into the landscape. Josh joined KPFF in 1997.
