KPFF provided prime project management and civil and structural engineering services to provide context-sensitive design for road improvements, access management, and safety improvements for pedestrians and bicycles. Key elements of the project include widening of general purpose lanes, addition of BAT lanes in each direction, improved Burke-Gilman trail crossings, center medians, signals, sidewalks, retaining walls, illumination, drainage improvements, landscaping, and utility undergrounding.
