Background

Mark is a meticulous, thoughtful engineer with experience across diverse building types. Within the highly technical constraints of complicated buildings such as historic renovations, seismic retrofits and high-rise buildings, Mark’s problem-solving skills stand out. He uses emergent analysis and design methods to devise clever, elegant solutions that are practical and cost-effective. As the resiliency of our built environment grows in public awareness, Mark uses his technical and communication skills to help communities understand the risks and how to move safely into the future. He is one of the first engineers in Oregon to become a Certified Rating Professional by the U.S. Resiliency Council. Mark is also a frequent speaker at industry events.
