KPFF is a leader in the design of large floating marine structures of all sizes for transportation, commercial, and recreational purposes. We have designed facilities for large tide and lake level variations, and have established a reputation for producing innovative and cost-effective designs. As part of our design process, we work closely with specialists in geotechnical engineering and cathodic protection to ensure our structures will have a long service life in the harsh marine environment. Our designs include both steel and concrete structures that are serving as ferry landings, maintenance facilities, marinas, and bridges. KPFF also has an extensive history supporting design, retrofit, and repair of all the floating bridges in Washington State, including the world’s longest floating bridge.
