The Providence Cedars-Sinai Tarzana Medical Center Reimagined project seeks to transform the existing hospital campus through a number of projects. These projects include multiple site make-ready projects, a temporary shoring and underpinning project, new entry canopy project, a newly remodeled NICU, a new 22,400-gsf Main Entry Building, and a new 189,000-gsf 5-story Patient Tower. Both the new patient tower and new entry building are steel framed structures with composite concrete over metal deck floor and roof slabs. The lateral force resisting system for both structures are special moment frames utilizing the SidePlate Moment Frame connections. The new patient tower is supported on conventional spread and continuous footings, and the new entry building is supported on pile foundations.
