Prism, located at 1028 Market Street, features a 13-story (200,000-gsf) Type I residential building in downtown San Francisco. The upper twelve residential levels offer 185 units of market rate apartments with a unit mix of 66 studios, 14 junior one-bedrooms, 37 one-bedrooms, 64 two-bedroom and 4 three-bedroom units. The second level includes a large landscaped courtyard and the 6th and 12th level include private decks. The roof also features a large landscaped deck with views of the surrounding city. The ground floor is a split level with easy access to Golden Gate Avenue and Market Street plus commercial, fitness, amenity spaces, support spaces and management offices. The basement level consist primarily of MEP support space. The structural system includes Type I post-tensioned concrete slabs, concrete shear walls/columns and spanning grade beams and mat foundation supported on piers. The Southern portion of the project is located in the BART and Muni underground zone of influence and required special foundation design, detailing and meetings/review by BART.
