At 200,000 square feet, the 18-story hotel has 286 guest rooms, ground-floor retail space and a fitness center. Designed to Marriott standards, this building integrates the Marriott AC and Residence Inn brands and anchors the continued redevelopment of Oakland’s downtown core. The building uses cast-in-place post-tensioned concrete floor slabs and a concrete shear core supported on a 1-story basement and mat foundation.
