Maslow Condominiums

Maslow Condominiums is a 36-unit residential development located in the rapidly evolving Wedgewood Houston neighborhood just south of downtown Nashville, Tennessee.

The marquee architectural feature of the building is the “flying” canopy brow element that wraps the perimeter and provides cover for the fourth-floor balconies. The canopy is primarily supported by an efficient system of wood roof trusses, supplemented by a novel arrangement of low-profile structural steel elements that facilitate the transition of the canopy as it turns the building’s corners.

An additional unique feature is the on-grade parking located beneath the second-floor framing. This configuration was achieved by transferring the steel framing at the second floor, supported by steel columns at the interior and concrete columns at the exterior.
