KPFF is leading the effort for the voluntary seismic upgrade of three civic buildings at City of Inglewood, namely, the City Hall, Main Library and Police Department buildings. In addition to the VSI, KPFF is the prime consultant leading a design team who will upgrade the buildings to address ADA, Fire-Life Safety and Security concerns. These non-ductile concrete buildings were built circa 1970s and exhibit non-seismic structural detailing. In view of this, the seismic upgrade will be based on a performance-based approach utilizing nonlinear structural analysis procedures per ASCE 41.
