The Downtown Riverfront Park and Public Plaza is the heart of the greater Riverfront Development that reimagines a new, vibrant future and, once again, unites the city with the Willamette River. KPFF provided civil engineering, structural engineering, and surveying services for demolition, utility relocation, environmental remediation, grading, pedestrian paths and stormwater facilities for the regional park created on a previous industrial site. KPFF provided civil engineering analysis, reports and documentation for State and Federal permitting, as well as City of Eugene Goal 5 and Willamette Greenway land use permitting. The new 4-acre park serves as a connection point between the 373-acre Alton Baker Park and access to the Willamette River and downtown Eugene.
