CVC Master Utility and Drainage Plan

KPFF has been providing Civil Engineering services to Century Villages at Cabrillo (CVC). CVC’s 27-acre campus gives residents quality affordable housing, surrounded by connected support services. For more than 12 years, KPFF has provided extensive utility, drainage, and general civil design services; as well as ancillary support services throughout the campus. KPFF developed a drainage study for the 27-acre campus for the purpose of assessing the deficiencies for the Century Villages at Cabrillo Campus located in the City of Long Beach. The master drainage and utility plan was updated in 2019, and is continually updated, as the campus continues to redevelop. The drainage feasibility study involved the evaluation of all the existing drainage facilities throughout the campus.

In addition to the study, KPFF has also performed various site development improvements throughout the campus’ phased residential redevelopment that included storm drain improvements, street improvements with street calming devices (bulb-outs), sewer and storm water lift stations, striping, signage, ADA ramps, and storm water infiltration trenches. These improvements involved the development of Plans, Specifications, Estimates, and Construction Support Services. The scope of services also included meetings and coordination with the client as well as agencies such as The City of Long Beach Building and Safety and Public Works.
