Casa De La Mision

Adding to San Francisco Mission District’s diverse and vibrant community, Casa De La Mission offers affordable residences for seniors transitioning out of homelessness. Located at the corner of 24th Street and Harrison Street in the Calle 24 Latino Cultural district, the structure is four stories of Type V construction over one story of Type I construction. The building features include retail space, gathering spaces and a community room at ground level. The project is sponsored by Mission Neighborhood Centers, which provides services to marginalized youth, and by non-profit affordable housing developer Mercy Housing. The project includes 1,535-sf of open space—a ground floor courtyard and a roof garden—and streetscape improvements.
