BJC East-West Connector

Pedestrian bridge to connect the new 3,000-car Duncan Central Garage with the new 12-story MidCampus Center. The bridge, at a height of forty feet above street level, also connects to the MetroLink Garage and the Children’s Hospital Garage, connecting more than 6,000 spaces of parking with the medical center.

The bridge structure consists of steel trusses with a typical span of sixty feet, supported by a hammerhead on an off-center single column and drilled pier. Elsewhere, the bridge is hung off the side of the MetroLink Garage.
