New Construction

KPFF provided structural engineering services for the Knight and Bauer Halls renovation and addition to accommodate the expansion of the John M. Olin School of Business on the campus of Washington University in St. Louis. A highlight of the new construction is an atrium topped by an elegant glass roof with a span of 100 feet.

The 175,000sf, five-story facility features numerous state-of-the-art classrooms that seat twenty to seventy students, and a 300-seat auditorium on the lower levels. Faculty offices, group study space, the Dean’s suite, and various program spaces occupy the upper three floors. Among amenities provided in the building are a cafe, support spaces, and collaboration rooms. The $69 million project was completed in June 2014.
