Originally comprised of a distillery built by pioneering sherry-maker John Ramos with a subsequent saloon-building addition complete with an upstairs brothel, the project consisted of the seismic strengthening and historic renovation of two adjoining historic buildings. Building 1, the Depot Saloon, is a 1,800-sf, two-story building with brick walls the first level and wood walls at the second level. Building 2, The Sherry House, is a 2,700-sf, two-story building with full height stone walls. The completed project was successfully nominated to the National Register of Historic Places and garnered several awards.
