$220 million medical campus in Vancouver for Legacy Health System. The project included two, four-story medical office buildings totaling 180,000 sf, and a six-story, 470,000-sf, 220-bed hospital. The seven-level, 1,480-stall parking structure was designed using CMC Steel's Cell beams spanning 60 feet. Exterior spandrel girders are also Cell beams stipulated by the architect to provide a unique exterior architectural appeal. Seismic lateral loads are resisted by both interior and perimeter steel special concentric braced frames. The seismic designs are in accordance with "essential facility" requirements.
