Located in the South of Market neighborhood, this high-density residential development provides 60-units of much needed affordable housing to San Francisco.

This below market rate housing project consists of an eight-story concrete building and a three-story wood building over a shared single-level concrete podium. The concrete building and podium are constructed with post-tensioned concrete slabs and shear walls. The timber structures are built with engineered lumber joists and plywood shear walls. The structures are supported on pile foundations and there is a structural slab on grade. Due to the proximity of the adjacent buildings and the desire to minimize vibrations during construction, the building is supported on torque-down piles.

Many sustainable design strategies including high volume concrete replacement were incorporated to achieve GreenPoint rated certification. As a development located in the C-3 district, the main facade also incorporates a large scale public artwork installation on the exterior along the length of the elevator shaft.
