Mike joined KPFF in 2003, and since that time he has consistently endeavored to create a collaborative process with architects, allowing their design ideas to come to fruition through innovative structural design. Responsible for structural analysis and design, detailing, production and construction services, Mike always brings a sense of deep investment and enthusiasm to his projects. Mike has worked on a variety of projects including schools, stadiums, office, hospitality and retail. Mike has a number of clients who consider him their “go to” engineer. In 2010, Mike took a lead role in pioneering KPFF’s curtainwall design work which has evolved into a major market sector for our Portland office. Recently, Mike completed work on the curtain wall engineering for the new Transbay Tower in San Francisco. Once constructed, it will be one of the tallest buildings on the west coast. He developed and continues to upgrade many of the calculation methods we use regularly today for this work and is a great design resource for others in our company.
