He has a diverse portfolio from projects spread throughout the country, including the Detroit Metro Airport Westin Hotel. For this project, Jim delivered intricate structural solutions such as a curved steel roof, numerous post tensioned cantilevered slabs, long-span concrete beams below an open atrium to accommodate a ballroom and two steel bridges that connect directly into the airport. Integrating these complex systems into one cohesive design exemplify Jim's technical acumen. Jim joined KPFF in 1996.
