Full-Time Structural Engineer

F/T Structural Engineer, multiple positions available, responsible for analyzing and designing structural members and connections for buildings and structures using hand calculations and computer programs; developing structural drawings using computer programs like Revit and Bluebeam; assisting project manager with review and proposal preparations and project reports; providing contractor/architect support during construction by responding to requests for Information (RFIs); reviewing submittals provided by contractor during construction for conformance; performing in person site visits to construction sites for structural observations as required by the International Building Code; providing support to drafting/BIM modeling personnel; communicating with architects and contractors to solve design challenges during design and construction; participating in internal process improvement efforts, including helping to create typical details and calculations. Must have a master’s degree in civil engineering, a structural engineering emphasis , and educational or work background including knowledge of structural analysis computer program such as RISA-3D, ENERCALC or SAP2000; familiarity with design manuals and codes including: ASCE/SEI Design Manual, International Building Code, AISC Steel Construction Manual, NDS for Wood Construction; knowledge of both Metric and US Customary Units; MS Word and MS Excel; Engineer in Training (EIT) Certificate.
