We are excited to welcome an Accounts Payable Specialist to our team in Seattle. The Accounts Payable Specialist will experience independence and autonomy in a stable environment at KPFF while enjoying the benefits of collaborating with a supportive accounting team. Monitoring and maintaining effective financial processes to support KPFF’s long-term growth will be an important focus of the Accounts Payable Specialist in addition to executing a variety of corporate accounting duties. The ideal candidate is passionate about numbers and brings a positive and customer-focused attitude.

As part of our team, you will:

  • Communicate and collaborate regularly with the Controller and AP team
  • Process A/P invoices and employee expense reports with accurate GL coding and resolve discrepancies
  • Process check runs and ACH payments
  • Maintain vendor W-9 records
  • Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end close process
  • Perform monthly GL account reconciliation
  • Review and analyze monthly financial reports
  • Assist with annual internal audits
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP
  • Provide technical support and training

Experience and skills needed:

  • 1-3 years of accounts payable experience
  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
  • Working knowledge of GAAP
  • Strong numeracy and analytical skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
