Are you currently working in the field or a survey office technician managing/collecting conventional survey data on the same type of project week after week? Would you also like to experience GIS, 3D scanning and drone opportunities, both in the field and in the office in various locations?

KPFF Survey is actively recruiting for a full-timeSurvey Office Technicianposition in Portland, Oregon. Our typical projects include control, boundary, topographic, utility, ALTA, verification, and monitor surveying. We collect field data using the latest survey grade equipment, including conventional total stations, digital levels, GPS, 3D scanners, and drone technology. We work with engineers, architects, landscape architects, developers, and public agencies. You may find yourself on a project in downtown Portland one day, followed by something in remote eastern Oregon, and beyond.

The successful candidate will work with and support the Survey team to ensure that projects are completed safely, accurately, and professionally. Experienced and licensed individuals will actively work with you to further your career path in land surveying where you will analyze and process different sets of data, draft, manage projects, and prepare yourself to become a licensed Professional Land Surveyor.

Individuals already working in an office technician role are encouraged to apply. Pay is dependent upon experience ($24-$30/hour).

Qualifications + Requirements

• Current experience in field data collection and in the industry for 1-2 years
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Add value to a fast-paced team
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening may be a requirement to participate on specific projects
• Travel may be required and can vary between 3-5% depending on the project, but you can expect to be home by the weekend
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
