Jamul Casino Expansion Jamul Casino Expansion

Nestled in the rolling hills just southeast of El Cajon in San Diego County, the Jamul Casino Resort expansion represents a significant enhancement to the Jamul Indian Village Reservation. Designed to elevate the property into a true destination resort, the project introduces a new 16‑story boutique hotel that complements the existing gaming and entertainment facilities on the Tribe’s six‑acre reservation. The 254,000-square-foot tower offers 200 luxury guest rooms and provides visitors with an elevated, serene getaway within easy reach of Southern California.

The expansion encompasses approximately 367,000 square feet of new development with a construction value of roughly $270 million. In addition to the guest accommodations, the resort includes a full‑service spa, multiple kitchens, a banquet facility, a restaurant and bar, an outdoor patio terrace, a speak‑easy, and a dedicated high‑limit gaming area. At the top of the tower, guests can enjoy a rooftop pool and spa amenity deck that offers expansive views of the surrounding landscape.

A signature feature of the project is a 150‑foot seismically isolated pedestrian sky bridge. This structure spans a federally protected creek, linking the eighth floor of the existing casino to the second‑floor lobby of the new hotel. The bridge ensures seamless guest movement between facilities while respecting the site’s natural constraints and environmental protections. The project also includes a six‑story adjacent parking structure to support increased visitation and extended-stay guests.

Together, the new hotel, sky bridge, and integrated amenities position Jamul Casino Resort as a premier regional destination. The expansion enhances the Tribe’s entertainment offerings while providing visitors with sophisticated accommodations and a comprehensive resort experience that celebrates its unique hillside setting.
