KPFF provided structural engineering design services for a new residential luxury condominium property located at Union Station in downtown Denver. The 334-unit building consists of two below-grade levels of parking, a 4-story podium containing a ground-level retail area, parking, and residential units, and a residential tower structure falling within the 200-foot City of Denver height limits. The residential portion of the building consists of (3) products – micro-units, standard 1-bedroom residential units, and 1- to 3-bedroom luxury units. Parking areas include automated parking systems, and the 18th floor club lounge provides residents with a flexible living room space for relaxing or entertaining and opens directly to the 25-meter swimming pool deck, which includes a Baja shelf, barbeques, and a fire pit. The project site is located adjacent to a train station, which may present acoustical and vibration concerns not found on a typical project site.
