Three-story, 75,000-sf brick-clad student center that includes a student dining hall, cafe, faculty dining, meeting and conference rooms, student lounge, and ten student counseling departments. KPFF provided structural design for the steel framed building and brick cladding system. The project was permitted under the jurisdiction of the Division of the State Architect. The structural system consists of concrete fill on metal deck on steel beams and girders.  Lateral forces are resisted by Special Concentric Steel Braced Frames. The foundation system is a conventional shall spread footing system. To fit into the campus architecture, the building was designed with steeply pitched, gabled roofs with concrete tile. There are precast concrete accents on the exterior with a brick on metal stud wall system.
