  • Hobbies & Interests I have a multitude of musical interests, including record collecting, djing, vintage audio equipment, playing guitar and bass, and running live sound. My record collecting is currently focused on amazing analog sounds of the early 1970s – especially funk, soul and jazz that incorporates analog synthesizers. Being outside and active with my family balances out the time indoors with work or music. I enjoy playing beach volleyball, surfing, paddle boarding, mountain biking, skateboarding, camping, hiking and walking our two dogs.

As a Principal in the Los Angeles office of KPFF, Mr. Hershberg has over 25 years of experience in research labs, commercial office, healthcare facilities, central utility plants, higher education, and multi-family residential projects. He excels on fast-track and complex projects with creative approaches that draw upon state of the art structural engineering techniques and collaborative engagement of the entire project team. Never content to settle for the way things have traditionally been done, Mr. Hershberg has developed and deployed computation-based approaches to repetitive and time consuming processes, including structural optimization, footfall vibration and third-party design review, that provide both schedule and design efficiency for clients.
