    Background

    Tim Heiman has been with KPFF San Francisco for over 25 years and is a former Principal with the firm.  Over his 40 year career he has gained extensive experience in a wide variety of project types ranging from commercial buildings, parking garages, and multi-family housing to institutional buildings including healthcare and educational facilities.  His particular areas of expertise are senior living projects, including assisted living and skilled nursing facilities; healthcare projects, including acute care hospitals, central plants, labs and medical office buildings; and higher education projects.  Tim has an excellent working relationship with OSHPD and DSA and has successfully guided the design and construction of several of the office’s largest hospital and educational projects.  His experience encompasses all material types ranging from mid-rise steel and concrete buildings to low-rise wood and masonry structures, as well as, seismic evaluation and renovation of existing buildings.
