Responsibilities

  • Under limited supervision - organizes, manages and directs field survey crew in completing boundary, topographic, ALTA, right of way, construction staking, and subdivision projects for public and private clients.
  • Calculates and records field data and leads survey crew on complex survey engagements.
  • Proficiently performs training, data collection, and quality checks for survey field work.
  • Organizes, manages and directs field survey crew in completing boundary, topographic, ALTA, right of way, construction staking, and subdivision projects.

Qualifications

  • California P.L.S. license preferred.
  • You thrive in a fast-paced environment working in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of surveying and possess knowledge of related fields and areas of operation which affect, or are affected by own area of expertise.
  • Ability to work in the field utilizing fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of surveying to make precise survey measurements of potentially large tracts of land operating surveying instruments
  • Carry surveying instruments to, from, and in the field
  • Establish and maintain friendly, business-like relations with those contacted in the course of work
  • Ability to utilize sound judgment, independent decision making, and prolonged focus to complete surveying tasks
